Part-time M-F Customer Srv, Shipping & Receiving (12.15.25)

HPC International, Inc. is looking for an experienced person to work part-time, Monday thru Friday, 9:30am-2:30pm doing our receiving & shipping and assisting with customer service in down time.  

The Shipping & Receiving/Customer Service position is a critical part of HPC’s BooksourcePlus division. Our customers rely on us to get their orders shipped as quickly as possible. There are many steps that lead to shipping, which is the last step in the process and that is why it is very important that the team work closely together to keep on top of customers’ orders.  

Responsibilities

  • Receive products in our ERP system that comes into our office daily.
  • Ship the products that come in either the same day or no later than the following day.
  • Process credit cards after shipping.
  • Manage Advance Directive orders.  This is a start to finish process.
  • Process Return-to-Vendor shipments. 
  • Count and reconcile the stocked books once a month, on the 1st of each month.
  • Answer customer calls and emails as required.
  • Assist with order entry & quotes when needed.
  • Be dependable, detail-oriented and accountable, with minimal supervision.
  • Be enthusiastic, energetic, and have a positive attitude.
  • Work as a team with others in the BooksourcePlus department, as well as our other departments where shipping is concerned.
  • Provide coverage for teammates when they are out on PTO or Sick when needed. Be flexible and able to work full days when needed with advance notice and mostly during our busy season.

Skills Needed

  • Ability to assess priorities, demonstrate flexibility and understand a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and teammates.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Intermediate or above skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
